Sam, our founder, began her Celebrant journey back in 2019. Whilst volunteering as an Entertainment Coordinator for the Cancer Council Victoria, she quickly learnt her way with a microphone in hand and her friend planted the idea of becoming a Civil Celebrant. The idea grew legs and during COVID Sam completed her studies. However, emerging from the COVID haze, Sam began a professional career in HR and began building her first house... not leaving a lot of time for her Celebrancy business to get going. In 2023, she spent a year travelling with her partner, gaining life experience and meeting incredible people, all along her interest in the wedding business in the back of her mind. 

Landing back in Melbourne early 2024 and getting engaged herself in April of this year, she knew the time was right to start "The Occasional Celebrant".
